In June 2025, IWRAW Asia Pacific held the Tula Twogere in Nairobi, Kenya. It brought together a diverse group of feminist legal practitioners, scholars, activists, policy actors, and community organisers from across the Global South to critically examine and reframe gendered economic violence. Anchored in intersectionality and collective care, the convening sought to develop a shared conceptual framework that reflects the structural, historical, and lived realities of economic injustice faced by women and marginalised communities.
