Guidelines on Writing the State Party Reports

- New 2008 Official Guidelines by the CEDAW Committee

The CEDAW Committee has provided guidelines for the writing of States parties reports, both initial and periodic (See E/CN.6/2008/CRP.1 ). These guidelines apply to all reports submitted for 2008. 

They also replace all earlier reporting guidelines issued by the CEDAW Committee.

Note: The UN Treaty Bodies are in the process of streamlining the production of state parties reports as part of the Harmonisation procedures of the Treaty Bodies which include production of the Common Core Document and the Treaty Specific Document. As such, all Treaty Bodies still require states to prepare their treaty Specific Documents when reporting to each Committee,using the new guidelines.
