CEDAW Committee
On Jan 1, 2011, four new Members from Turkey, Switzerland, Paraguay, Timor Leste and Bangladesh will join the CEDAW Committee. Profiles on these new members are available from OHCHR .

47th CEDAW Review Session
4 - 22 October 2010
At this CEDAW session, Bahamas, Burkina Faso, Czech Republic, Malta, Tunisia and Uganda will be reviewed. Exceptionally, India will also be reviewed. Please visit the OHCHR session webpage for relevant documents.
IWRAW Asia Pacific will also be holding its From Global to Local programme to facilitate participation of women’s human rights advocates and organisations from this group of countries to attend the review sessions in Geneva to support their strategies for holding their states accountable for CEDAW treaty obligations.
